Air Filtration Quality in the Food Industry

This section is intended as an introduction to the business of controlling air quality in the food industry. Over the past fifteen years we have seen the introduction of a range of food related legislation some of which relates to the control of the air supply quality as discussed here. The aim of a food related service activity is to ensure performance at minimum cost, and this document will assist in understanding the standards required for the air quality control systems.

Food safety legislation has presented an opportunity for specialist maintenance companies to present a case for a range of cost-effective contract management work. It is essential that contractors comply with standards, and demonstrate that they are capable of maintaining service performance that they undoubtedly offer at the initial stage of discussion. A close partnership between customer and contracting team based on the appreciation of the tasks required, coupled with up to date knowledge of the air movement and food safety regulations, will help improve and maintain product quality and enhance performance in this competitive industry.
